Morelia authorities search Río Chiquito for missing 76-year-old woman

Authorities in Morelia, Michoacán, have launched a coordinated search operation along the banks of the Río Chiquito to locate Isidra Millán, a 76-year-old woman reported missing since August 21.

The operation involves specialized personnel from the Michoacán State Attorney General's Office (FGE), the Morelia Police, the Civil Guard, and firefighters. Search teams have been inspecting various points along the riverbank, specifically near Avenida Michoacán and the Las Flores neighborhood.

Following the activation of an ‘Alba Alert’ search protocol, investigators have detained an individual allegedly linked to the deprivation of the woman's liberty. While the identity of the detainee and the specific circumstances of the disappearance have not been officially disclosed, authorities are continuing their efforts in the Río Chiquito area and other sectors of the city to locate Millán and clarify the facts of the case.
