Morelia cable car begins electromechanical testing

The Morelia cable car system has begun its first electromechanical testing phase with the movement of its first cabin. The tests are being conducted on the section connecting the Estadio, Primo Tapia, Pedregal, and Obelisco stations.

María Elena Huerta, Secretary of Urban Development and Mobility, stated that the evaluation will focus on several technical factors, including carrier cable behavior, tension, displacement speed, circulation spaces, station functionality, and the response of various electromechanical and safety components.

This testing phase is part of a certification process designed to meet European standards for cable transport systems. Before commercial service can begin, the infrastructure must undergo rigorous verification to ensure all safety and technical requirements are met.
