Morelia Highway Accidents Lead to One Death and Several Injuries in Michoacán

A severe crash on the Morelia‑Zacapu highway near the community of La Constitución involved a black Volkswagen Jetta that overturned multiple times. The driver, César Santiago R., 39, died at the scene and his passenger, Soraima R., 31, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for specialized care.

Separately, a motorcyclist was injured on the Morelia‑Zitácuaro road near the Arauco industrial plant. Emergency responders reported the rider had alcohol in his system and sustained multiple fractures to his leg, arm, knee and ribs. He was transported to an IMSS clinic for treatment.
