Michoacán implements diverse social, economic, and transit initiatives

Michoacán is undergoing various social, economic, and infrastructural developments. The state government is prioritizing education, with over 830,000 students receiving scholarships, and social welfare through the Plan Michoacán por la Paz y la Justicia, which involves a 60 billion peso investment.

In Morelia, the Morebús rapid transit project is a central focus. The system is designed with universal accessibility, including low-floor units and ramps, and aims to improve public health by reducing pollution and traffic stress. Environmental efforts are also underway, with over 100 trees being relocated to preserve local greenery during construction.

Economic and cultural initiatives include support for the metallurgical industry at Fundidora Morelia and a program to distribute 10,000 Paracho guitars to secondary schools to promote local craftsmanship and music. Additionally, the state is expanding social services, such as the opening of new childcare centers (Nidos) for migrant worker families in Peribán and community development workshops led by DIF Michoacán.
