Rafael “N”, alias “El Mansito”, killed in Morelia police shootout

Rafael “N”, known by the aliases “El Mansito” or “El Jocker”, was killed during a police operation in Morelia, Michoacán. The individual was considered a high-priority target by the state's Public Security Secretariat (SSP).

According to authorities, the confrontation occurred on Avenida Periodismo when the suspect noticed the presence of the Civil Guard and opened fire with a handgun to avoid arrest. Security forces returned fire, resulting in the suspect's death at the scene. One accomplice was reportedly injured and taken into custody.

Intelligence reports linked Rafael “N” to organized crime activities, specifically extortion and “cobro de piso” (protection money), with an operational range spanning both Michoacán and Guanajuato. In addition to extortion, he was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated kidnapping and qualified homicide.
