Morell Festa Major launches with strong community turnout

The Festa Major of Sant Abdó and Sant Senén in Morell opened its first weekend with high participation. Highlights included a new evening gathering space in the town hall garden, live music, food stalls and a popular night walk that marked the start of the festivities. Traditional events featured the castellers Xiquets de Tarragona and Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls performing after an 18‑year absence, the traditional Tomb de la Francolina dance, and a plate‑throwing game.

The programme continues with a scientific talk on the solar eclipse, a circus, an outdoor escape‑room, open‑air cinema, a popular dinner, a concert‑show featuring Agnès Busquets, and performances by local youth orchestras and DJs.
