Morella receives 550,000 euro investment for livestock water reservoir

The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Conselleria d’Agricultura, Aigua, Ramaderia i Pesca, has allocated over 550,000 euros for the construction of a water reservoir in Morella. The project aims to secure the water supply for livestock farms in the municipality and mitigate the effects of drought in the Els Ports region.

Work has already begun with land preparation tasks. The new infrastructure is intended to reduce the need for continuous water tanker transport by livestock professionals during periods of low precipitation. Local officials noted that the investment is part of a broader plan to modernize agricultural and livestock supply networks in rural areas vulnerable to climate change, helping to support local employment and combat depopulation.
