Morelos Congress advances municipal territorial boundary agreements

The Morelos State Congress is advancing efforts to formalize territorial boundaries between various municipalities to provide legal certainty and prevent future conflicts. A meeting was held involving state legislators, government officials, and municipal authorities to facilitate dialogue and coordination.

Participants included representatives from the indigenous municipality of Hueyapan, as well as municipal presidents from Zacualpan de Amilpas, Tetela del Volcán, and Tlayacapan, along with officials from Atlatlahucan. The initiative aims to improve public service planning and demarcation clarity through cooperation between the legislative branch, local governments, and the state administration.
