Morelos Congress coordinates Hueyapan and Tetela del Volcán handover

The Congress of the State of Morelos has established a meeting schedule to facilitate the handover process between the municipalities of Hueyapan and Tetela del Volcán. This administrative transition follows the creation of Hueyapan as an indigenous municipality, in compliance with the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation's resolution regarding Constitutional Controversy 350/2023.

The working group includes representatives from the Municipal Strengthening Commission, legislative and legal areas of the Congress, and officials from the legal and comptroller departments of both municipalities. The process aims to address pending matters in an orderly manner while respecting the autonomy of both municipalities and adhering to the Supreme Court's ruling through dialogue and coordination.
