Morelos implements command center for missing persons search

Morelos has become the second state in Mexico to establish the State Command Center for the National Immediate Search Alert (CEMANBI). The center aims to strengthen coordination between federal, state, and municipal authorities to accelerate the location of missing persons.

Operating 24 hours a day, the center will facilitate the exchange of information and the articulation of actions among the Secretariat of Government, the State Attorney General's Office, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, and the Commission for the Search of Persons. It will also maintain coordination with the National Guard and local municipalities.

In separate news, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) in Morelos has launched a special operation to prevent consumer abuses during Day of the Dead festivities. From October 27 through November 2, officials will monitor flower shops, cemeteries, and candle shops to ensure businesses do not implement disproportionate price increases during the holiday period.
