Morelos Judiciary requires 57 million pesos for oral justice system

The Judiciary of Morelos requires an estimated 57 million pesos to implement a new oral justice system for civil and family matters. Javier García Tinoco, president of the Judicial Administration Organ, detailed that the plan involves starting operations in at least 10 courts across nine judicial districts, with priority given to Cuernavaca and Cuautla due to high caseloads.

The budget includes 15 million pesos to equip 10 oral trial rooms with video recording technology and 42 million pesos to create three new courts. This modernization is a response to the mandatory implementation of the National Code of Civil and Family Procedures, which has a deadline of April 2027. However, due to financial difficulties in Morelos and 14 other states, there are discussions at the national level regarding a possible extension of this deadline until 2030.
