Morelos offers historical sites and natural escapes

The state of Morelos offers diverse tourism opportunities ranging from historical sites to natural escapes. Tlaltizapán de Zapata, a ‘Pueblo Mágico’, serves as a significant historical landmark. Between 1914 and 1916, the revolutionary leader Emiliano Zapata established his headquarters there, utilizing the strategic landscape of mountains and rivers to command the Liberation Army of the South.

For nature enthusiasts, the region provides several outdoor destinations. The Lagunas de Zempoala National Park, located between Huitzilac and Ocuilan, features seven lagoons surrounded by coniferous forests and offers activities such as hiking, kayaking, and camping.
