Morelos reports three COVID-19 deaths and 85 positive cases
The Morelos Secretary of Health, Mario Ocampo Ocampo, confirmed three deaths related to COVID-19 complications in the state. The deceased include two adults from the municipalities of Axochiapan and Jojutla, and a one-year-old infant from Cuernavaca. Health officials noted that none of the deceased individuals had received vaccinations against SARS-CoV-2.
To date, the state has recorded 85 positive cases out of 1,351 suspected respiratory illness cases this year. The highest incidence of infection has been reported in the municipalities of Cuernavaca, Huitzilac, and Jiutepec, with affected age groups ranging from 25 to 59 years.
Health authorities are urging the population to maintain prevention measures, such as frequent hand washing and mask use in crowded areas, and to complete vaccination schedules to protect vulnerable populations.
