Morelos to host 2026 National Pre Junior Baseball Championship

The state of Morelos will host the 2026 Liga Telmex Telcel National Baseball Championship for the Pre Junior category (ages 13 and 14) from September 19 to 26. The tournament is expected to bring together 28 teams from various Mexican states.

Matches will be held across four municipalities: Cuernavaca, Zacatepec, Yecapixtla, and Jonacatepec. Governor Margarita González Saravia emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening the region's sports infrastructure and promoting baseball development.

The local Morelos pre-selection team is currently intensifying its training at the Unidad Deportiva Centenario. Under the direction of Israel Rodríguez Aldaco, the team has utilized cryotherapy for physical recovery and recently participated in exhibition games in Metepec, State of Mexico, where they secured two victories against the Dragones club.
