Morena disputes Coahuila election results amid vote‑buying accusations

Morena’s national president, Ariadna Montiel, defended the party’s performance in the recent Coahuila elections, saying the vote share rose from 2020 and that the results were achieved through legitimate canvassing. She accused the PRI opposition of massive vote‑buying and coercion, and announced complaints to local electoral authorities and financial investigators. Morena also reported the release of several detained party activists following the vote.

Separately, the civil organization Somos México filed a criminal complaint alleging that Morena illegally accessed and used its membership register to file challenges before the electoral tribunal.
