Morena aspirant Célida López calls for unity in Sonora
Célida López Cárdenas, an aspirant to coordinate the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation in Sonora, has called for unity within the Morena party following upcoming internal selection processes.
López Cárdenas noted that while the six current aspirants have maintained a cooperative environment, maintaining this unity after the results are announced in late August will require leadership and generosity. She expressed confidence in the party's ability to retain the state government, citing high approval ratings for the current administration of Alfonso Durazo and the federal government of Claudia Sheinbaum.
The selection process involves several contenders, including Javier Lamar, Froilán Gámez, Omar del Valle, Lorena Valles, and María Dolores del Río. López Cárdenas also highlighted the close coordination between Morena and its allies, the Green Party and the Labor Party, in preparation for upcoming electoral challenges.
