Governor Yeraldine Bonilla orders road repairs after heavy rains in Sinaloa

In response to extraordinary rains that damaged highways in the western Mexican state of Sinaloa, Governor Yeraldine Bonilla directed immediate repairs. Secretary of Public Works Raúl Mortero Zamudio reported that sections of the road network linking Caitime to El Progreso, El Progreso to Mocorito, and other routes suffered severe degradation. Additional damage was noted on the Mocorito‑San Benito stretch, where signage and equipment are being installed.

Temporary alternate routes are being built while a comprehensive review of all affected roads proceeds. Authorities also flagged a sinkhole near Pozole in Rosario and a deteriorated segment of the Ahome‑El Fuerte corridor, both slated for intervention.
