Morena coordinator accused of abuse and violence in Mexico

Alfredo Olvera Reyes, president of the Sectional Committee 149 of Mixquiahuala, has filed a formal complaint with the Morena party leadership against district coordinator Yonattan Álvarez Cruz. The allegations include acts of arrogance, humiliation of party members, potential violence against women, and favoritism toward specific sectors.

Olvera Reyes stated that the alleged misconduct has occurred in various municipalities, including Progreso de Obregón, Chapulhuacán, San Salvador, Tecozautla, and Zimapán. The complainants are seeking measures to ensure Álvarez Cruz is removed from his position and that his conduct has professional consequences, noting that previous attempts to resolve issues through the national committee had not yielded timely results.
