Morena founders demand transparency in Beatriz Mojica's selection

Founding members of the Morena party in Guerrero are demanding transparency regarding the selection process of Beatriz Mojica Morga as the coordinator of the Defense and Sovereignty Committees. The group, which includes former local and federal deputies Antonio Helguera Jiménez and Carlos de Jesús Alejandro, stated they will not recognize Mojica’s designation until the party’s National Executive Committee (CEN) releases the specific methodology, samples, and criteria used in the final survey and candidate vetting process.

The dissidents argue that the internal process lacked clarity and failed to maintain gender parity, noting the final survey included two men and four women. They maintain that the candidacy for the governorship of Guerrero should belong to a party founder with proven identity and commitment to the movement’s principles. The group emphasized that their protest is not driven by personal ambition but by a need for honesty and to prevent nepotism and corruption within the state's political structure.
