Morelos appoints new director for Amilcingo Normal School

The Secretary of Education of Morelos has appointed Norma Adriana Garduño Salazar as the acting director of the Escuela Normal Rural ‘Gral. Emiliano Zapata’ in Amilcingo, Temoac. Garduño Salazar brings over 20 years of experience in the educational sector, including work in curriculum design and pedagogical support.

This appointment follows a period of significant unrest at the institution. Students and staff had previously engaged in protests and work stoppages, citing demands for administrative reorganization and allegations of irregularities, threats, and misconduct by previous leadership. The government stated the move aims to ensure administrative continuity and academic development through direct dialogue with the student body.
