Morena leaders in Guerrero defend Beatriz Mojica Morga appointment
Internal tensions have emerged within the Morena party in Guerrero following the appointment of Beatriz Mojica Morga as coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of Transformation and National Sovereignty.
Jacinto González Varona, president of the Morena State Executive Committee in Guerrero, addressed the dissent from former federal deputy Rubén Cayetano García. While acknowledging Cayetano’s right to disagree with the internal process, González Varona urged him not to compare his actions to those of Andrés Manuel López Obrador. He noted that the party leadership and national directorate fully support Mojica Morga’s selection.
In a separate meeting involving Morena founders and regional leaders, supporters expressed their backing for Mojica Morga. Leaders such as Galdino Nava Díaz and Tanislao Radilla emphasized her political trajectory as a former local and federal deputy and current senator, stating her appointment was the result of a territorial survey and grassroots work. Mojica Morga stated that the process respected the will of the people in Guerrero.
