Morena leads electoral preferences in Reynosa and Ciudad del Carmen

Recent polling data indicates that the Morena party maintains a strong position in upcoming municipal electoral contests in Mexico. In Reynosa, local deputy Magaly Deándar leads the Morena internal race for the municipal presidency with 29 percent, ahead of Claudia Hernández at 21 percent. Morena also leads party preference in the area with 39 percent compared to 18 percent for the PAN.

In Ciudad del Carmen, Morena continues its trend of leading voter preferences, recording 44.3 percent in a recent survey. Movimiento Ciudadano follows in second place with 19.4 percent, while the PRI and PAN hold 12.5 percent and 11.4 percent, respectively.

Regarding internal party ambitions, Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal addressed cabinet members expressing interest in future candidacies, stating that aspirations must be backed by a proven track record and public trust rather than just holding a current office.
