Morena legislators to register for 2027 municipal presidencies

Pavel Gaspar, president of the local Congress, announced that legislators interested in running for municipal presidencies under the Morena party for the 2027 elections will begin registering this week. The registration deadline set by the party is October 18.

Gaspar scheduled a meeting with lawmakers for Monday to discuss their intentions. He noted that deputies are not required to resign from their current positions to participate in the internal process or if they win a municipal seat. He emphasized that legislative work will remain a priority and can be managed during weekends to avoid affecting productivity.
