Morena Rial criticizes judiciary after parole denial

Morena Rial has expressed intense frustration toward the judicial system following the rejection of her request for parole. Leaked audio recordings, circulated via the streaming program ‘El Ejército de LAM’, capture Rial claiming that authorities are ‘ensañados conmigo’ (obsessed with me/targeting me).

Rial, who is currently serving house arrest under electronic monitoring, argued that she has already served the necessary time and wishes to return to her normal life to care for her children. She stated, ‘Cualquier preso tiene la libertad, menos yo. Es una locura’ (Any prisoner has freedom, except me. It is madness).

The judicial decision maintains her current status without changes. The request for parole was filed by her lawyer, Alejandro Cipolla, after Judge María Coelho approved a plea agreement. Under this agreement, Rial was sentenced to three years of effective imprisonment for robberies committed in the Villa Adelina and Castelar areas. Despite her defense arguing she met the legal requirements after eight months of detention, the court denied the benefit.
