Morena Veracruz supports Esteban Ramírez Zepeta and notes Paul Martínez's federal ambitions
The state executive committee of Mexico's Morena party in Veracruz issued a public statement backing party leader Esteban Ramírez Zepeta after incidents reported on Thursday in the municipality of Tatahuicapan. The committee condemned the events, urged that internal differences be resolved through dialogue and democratic participation, and reaffirmed a commitment to non‑violent politics.
Separately, local Morena deputy Paul Martínez Marie announced that he intends to seek a seat in the federal Chamber of Deputies in the upcoming election. Martínez said his candidacy will depend on party decisions and voter support, and highlighted his experience as a two‑time municipal mayor, local deputy, subsecretary and town secretary.
