Polish towns host summer library and family festivals
Municipal libraries across Poland organized a series of summer programmes aimed at families and children. In Morąg, the public library held a "Family Days" campaign from 15 May to 20 June, featuring workshops, exhibitions, author talks and a city‑wide treasure hunt that attracted more than 1,250 participants.
In the town of Warca, the "Cosmic Summer" initiative ran from 7 July to 13 August, offering daily space‑themed activities such as craft workshops, quizzes, outdoor games and visits from local police, fire‑fighters and health officials for children born between 2016 and 2020.
Ostrołęka’s public library announced a "Library Summer 2026" week (13‑17 July) with creative workshops including LEGO robotics, folk‑dance lessons, film sessions and cooking classes for children aged 6‑12, priced at 70 zł per week.
Łostówka hosted a family festivity under the slogan "School and family are one team" that included team challenges, talent shows, a concert by the band "Zbójnicka Nuta" and a prize‑winning final where the Kołodziej family earned a zoo ticket. The event also featured a playground, first‑aid obstacle course, and displays of alps and meerkats.
All programmes emphasized community participation, cultural activities and promotion of reading and social interaction among families.
