Morgan Ayawine wins Africa’s Most Respected CEO award

Morgan Ayawine, General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers’ Union (ICU-Ghana), has received the Most Respected CEO in Labour and Union Leadership award. The honor was presented at the sixth Africa’s Most Respected CEOs Conference and Awards held in Lusaka, Zambia.

Ayawine was recognized for his leadership, innovation, and contributions to sustainable economic development across Africa. While unable to attend the ceremony in Zambia, he received the award in Accra. He dedicated the recognition to the staff and members of ICU-Ghana and emphasized the importance of creating an enabling environment for both public and private sector industries.

Ayawine also advocated for governments to take decisive measures to revive industries to combat youth unemployment, noting that the interests of employers and workers are fundamentally linked to economic growth.
