Morgan County campuses closed due to water main leak

A. P. Brewer High School and the Morgan County Technology Park in Alabama are closed on Monday following an underground water main leak. The leak required the main water line to be shut off late Sunday night.

Maintenance crews are currently on-site working to locate and repair the damage, though no specific timeline for repairs has been provided. As a result of the closure, students will have no in-person or virtual classes on Monday. Students from other schools who typically attend the technology park are instructed to report to their home schools starting with third period.

Regarding staffing, only 12-month employees are required to report to work; all other employees are excused for the day. Updates regarding after-school activities are expected to be released by noon.
