Morgan criticizes Stefano De Martino regarding Sanremo leadership

Musician Morgan (Marco Castoldi) has expressed skepticism regarding the potential appointment of Stefano De Martino as the artistic director of the Sanremo Music Festival. Speaking at the Rome Film Festival during a presentation for his documentary, 'Non Importa Dove', Morgan remarked that while De Martino is an excellent dancer, he believes individuals without deep musical expertise should not direct a song festival.

Morgan further criticized the broadcaster Rai, suggesting the network treats the festival as a guaranteed annual event rather than a musical institution requiring dedicated attention. He stated, “Those who do not know what songs are cannot direct the festival of song,” and argued that the event lacks sufficient musical focus.

De Martino, known for his work on programs such as 'Affari Tuoi' and 'Amici', has built a significant television career following his early years as a dancer. Despite Morgan's critiques, De Martino remains a prominent figure within Rai's programming.
