Riddle revealed that she experienced three major life stressors simultaneously in a single week: moving to a new city, starting a new job, and ending her relationship.

Having met on the dating app Raya in 2020, the couple became prominent figures within the tennis community. Riddle, who gained popularity as a tennis influencer, stated that she had mentally prepared for the worst. She expressed a desire to encourage other women to leave situations where they are unhappy, asserting that “not being happy is enough of a reason to leave.”
