Morgan Rogers discusses playing against Lionel Messi

Chelsea midfielder Morgan Rogers expressed his admiration for Lionel Messi during a recent appearance on the ‘CFC Unlocked’ podcast. While Rogers identified Cristiano Ronaldo as his favorite player, he described his experience playing against Messi during a World Cup semi-final as awe-inspiring.

Rogers noted that despite Messi being 39 years old at the time, the Argentine player remained nearly impossible to defend against. He remarked on the difficulty of facing Messi with the ball at his feet, stating, “There was absolutely nothing you could do against him, it was impossible to face him.” Rogers also expressed disbelief at Messi's performance level at that age, noting he could only imagine how the player performed during his prime.
