Morgan Stanley discloses XRP ETF holdings in Q2 2026 filing
Institutional interest in XRP is showing a divergence between traditional financial holdings and market sentiment. In its Q2 2026 Form 13F filing, Morgan Stanley revealed positions in three different XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs): 6,715 shares of the Franklin XRP ETF, 255 shares of the REX-Osprey XRP ETF, and 67 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF. Additionally, the bank reported holding 50,540 shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II, a SPAC linked to Evernorth Holdings, a company focused on building an XRP treasury.
Other major institutions have also disclosed interest. The Bank of Montreal reported $2,970 in XRP ETF holdings, while Bank of America held 13,260 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF. Despite this institutional presence, the broader market faces challenges. XRP has recently struggled to maintain the $1 psychological support level, and social sentiment has reached a three-month low.
However, on-chain data provides a counter-signal, with the XRP Ledger recording its highest number of daily active addresses in over two months. While whale inflows to exchanges like Binance have hit multi-year lows, the total net assets of XRP ETFs reached approximately $942.25 million as of August 13.
