Morgan unveils SuperSport 400 flagship in Japan

Morgan Motor Company, through its Japanese distributor LCI Co., Ltd., has announced the launch of the SuperSport 400, a new flagship model in the SuperSport series. Starting August 28, 2026, orders for the vehicle will be accepted at authorized Morgan dealers across Japan.

The SuperSport 400 marks the first time a Morgan catalog model has exceeded 400ps. It is powered by a BMW 3.0L inline-six turbocharged engine (B58 O1) paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle produces 408ps and 500Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 290km/h.

Built on the CXV aluminum platform, the car weighs 1,170kg and features a standard Dynamic Handling Pack, which includes Nitron dampers with 24-stage damping adjustment. Design updates include functional vents on the front wings for improved cooling and a shift from satin to gloss finishes on the lower bodywork. The model is priced starting from 31,251,000 yen.
