Morgan Wallen piano incident explained by creative director
Morgan Wallen's creative director, Justin Clough, has provided clarification regarding a viral incident where the country singer appeared to flip a piano during a May performance at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
Clough explained that the incident occurred because Wallen could not hear the piano through his in-ear monitors while performing 'Sand in My Boots'. Additionally, the piano had partially moved off the lift used to raise and lower it on stage. Clough noted that Wallen was not upset by the malfunction and left the stage laughing.
The crash caused significant alarm for approximately five crew members working beneath the five-foot stage, who initially feared the entire structure was collapsing. No injuries were reported, and the stage equipment remained intact.
