Morillon hiker evacuated after multiple wasp stings

A 42-year-old hiker was emergency evacuated by helicopter on Saturday, September 12, after being stung approximately 20 times by wasps on a trail in Morillon, Haute-Savoie.

The victim suffered anaphylactic shock, requiring rapid medical intervention. The Civil Security helicopter, Dragon 74, was deployed to transport her to the Sallanches hospital center. The specific circumstances surrounding the wasp attack remain unknown.
