Moritz Seider addresses Detroit Red Wings organizational changes

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider has addressed the recent organizational turmoil during the NHL/NHLPA European Player Media Tour in Munich. Seider provided the first direct comments from a current player regarding the departure of general manager Steve Yzerman and captain Dylan Larkin’s trade request.

Seider remained diplomatic, stating that such matters are for management and ownership to resolve. He noted that while there are questions that need answering, they are not for him to address. Regarding Yzerman, Seider expressed gratitude for the executive's early belief in his talent, noting that Yzerman took a risk by placing him on the roster early in his career.

Despite the off-ice distractions, Seider emphasized his focus on individual development and returning the franchise to the playoffs. He stated his goal is to continue improving to reach the level of the league's elite defensemen.
