Mormaço Cultural 2026 festival hosts music and gastronomy in Boa Vista
The Mormaço Cultural 2026 festival is currently underway at Parque do Rio Branco in Boa Vista, Roraima, featuring a diverse program of music, gastronomy, and interactive services.
Musical performances include a wide range of genres such as rock, pop, rap, funk, and electronic music. Notable national artists performing include Fresno, Melody, Felipe Ret, Dennis, and Cat Dealers. The festival also provides space for local Roraima artists to perform on dedicated stages.
The gastronomic program highlights regional flavors and international fusion. French chef Olivier Anquier participated in a cooking demonstration, emphasizing the importance of local ingredients like Roraima's award-winning paçoca. Additionally, chef Jorge Cardoso introduced Japanese-inspired Donburi dishes adapted with Northern Brazilian ingredients, such as sun-dried meat and fried banana.
To enhance the attendee experience, the festival offers free professional photography in designated 'instagrammable' areas, accessible via QR code and facial recognition. Local authorities noted that the event serves to foster culture while generating income and employment for the city's commerce and hospitality sectors.
