Morón and Uber launch employment initiative for women

The Municipality of Morón has partnered with Uber to launch an initiative aimed at creating job opportunities for local women. The program introduces ‘Uber Mujeres’ and ‘Uber Ellas,’ features designed to enhance safety and experience by allowing female passengers to request female drivers, and enabling female drivers to receive requests exclusively from female passengers.

To support economic integration, the municipality will assist women interested in using the platform to generate income, particularly those without their own vehicles. As part of the agreement, 20 women will have access to vehicle rentals with the first week provided at no cost. The initiative was presented by Mayor Lucas Ghi and Uber Argentina General Manager María Elisa Frías, emphasizing the importance of public-private collaboration to improve community living conditions.
