Morón de la Frontera completes energy rehabilitation of 24 social housing units

The Andalusia Housing, Youth and Territorial Planning Department, through the Agency for Housing and Rehabilitation of Andalusia (AVRA), has completed energy rehabilitation works on 24 affordable rental homes in Morón de la Frontera, Seville.

The project, located in the El Rancho neighborhood, cost a total of 621,022 euros and was funded by European FEDER Andalucía 2021-2027 funds. The interventions included the installation of an external thermal insulation system to improve energy efficiency, increase resident comfort, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Regional Minister Rocío Díaz stated that the rehabilitation aims to adapt older buildings to current energy standards, serving as a social policy to reduce energy costs and vulnerability for families living in public housing.
