Morón resident reports cockroach found in street-vended bread

A resident of Morón, in the province of Ciego de Ávila, has reported finding a cockroach embedded inside a loaf of bread purchased from a street vendor. The woman, identified on social media as Martha V, shared her experience after discovering the insect while attempting to slice the bread for her family.

Martha V expressed frustration over the lack of hygiene and called for greater caution and awareness among food producers. She noted that finding foreign objects such as hair, stones, or insects in bread has become a common occurrence despite the high costs consumers must pay. The bread in question was sold by a street vendor operating without sanitary oversight.

The incident has sparked significant criticism on social media, with users highlighting broader concerns regarding the quality of services, rising prices, and a perceived decline in social discipline and food safety standards.
