Morning body pain may indicate dehydration or deficiencies

Morning body pain should not be dismissed solely as a consequence of aging. While physical changes such as bone fragility, muscle mass loss, and reduced cartilage elasticity are common after age 40 or 50, regular intense joint or muscle pain is not considered normal for healthy individuals.

Dr. Maria Maślińska, a specialist from the National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, notes that if discomfort persists for several weeks or hinders daily activities, medical consultation is necessary. Potential causes include dehydration, which can lead to muscle tension and joint stiffness, as well as various nutritional deficiencies.
