Moroccan Consul meets with Palmi municipal administration

The Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Calabria, Domenico Naccari, met with the new municipal administration of Palmi, represented by Mayor Giovanni Calabria and Public Works Assessor Lucia Muscari. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the municipality, the Consulate, and Moroccan institutions.

Key topics of discussion included the ongoing twinning between the Bar Association of Palmi and the Bar Association of Settat, which aims to foster professional and cultural exchange. Additionally, officials explored economic and logistical opportunities by linking the strategic Mediterranean infrastructures of the Port of Gioia Tauro and Tanger Med.

The meeting also highlighted the presence of approximately 15,000 Moroccans living in Calabria, noting their deep integration into the region's social and productive fabric. Discussions included the potential revival of the ‘Ponti del Sud’ initiative to promote dialogue and integration.
