Moroccan Consumer Rights Group criticizes Schengen visa procedures
The Moroccan University for Consumer Rights has expressed serious concern regarding ongoing irregularities in the Schengen visa application process. The organization is calling for intervention from Moroccan government institutions responsible for international relations to address what it describes as unfair treatment of applicants.
Key criticisms include the practices of the intermediary service provider, specifically the refusal to accept payments via check, bank card, or mobile application, while insisting on cash payments. The University questioned the transparency of these funds, particularly when visa applications are rejected and fees are not refunded.
Furthermore, the organization raised concerns about the use of unknown algorithms to process files without clear criteria. It also highlighted what it considers arbitrary conditions, such as requiring applicants to sign documents acknowledging that their files are incomplete or that they have been informed of the reasons for a rejection, which the University views as contradictory and unfair.
