Morocco conducts joint military exercises with France and the U.S

Moroccan military forces are participating in several international training initiatives to enhance aerial and unmanned capabilities. In Agadir, Morocco, the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) are collaborating with the United States Africa Command (Africom) and the Utah National Guard on a drone training program. This initiative focuses on small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS), covering piloting, mission planning, and tactical integration to improve situational awareness.

Simultaneously, Moroccan F-16 fighter jets and a detachment of approximately 50 military personnel arrived at the Orange-Caritat air base in France for the ORYX 26 bilateral exercise. This operation aims to improve interoperability and tactical coordination between the Moroccan and French air forces. The Moroccan aircraft utilized conformal fuel tanks and external tanks to maximize their operational range during the maneuvers. These exercises are part of broader military cooperation between Rabat and Paris, as well as participation in the larger international exercise Black Crow 2026.
