Moroccan Football Federation launches new reform phase as Tunisia pledges support for elite athletes

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced a new phase of its reform programme, focusing on better integration of young talent into the national football system. In a meeting in Salé, FRMF president Fouzi Lekjaa urged the creation of a structure to guide youth players, especially internationals, toward professional clubs and national teams. The plan also calls for greater autonomy of regional leagues, relocation of league offices by the end of 2026, infrastructure investment and stronger marketing and supporter‑services to improve stadium safety and experience.

In Tunisia, the Minister of Youth and Sports met with the swimming, athletics and taekwondo federations to address the needs of elite athletes training abroad. Officials promised timely payment of allowances, new credit lines from 2027 for equipment, and better coordination for training camps, aiming to prevent talent loss and improve preparation for events such as the Mediterranean Games.
