Moroccan footballers El Kaabi and Labyad face serious injuries

Moroccan footballers Ayoub El Kaabi and Zakaria Labyad are facing significant injury concerns.

During a Greek Super League match between Olympiacos and Volos, El Kaabi suffered a violent leg injury following a collision with goalkeeper Marios Siampanis. The player was taken to the hospital for extensive medical examinations, leaving fans and the Olympiacos team awaiting an official diagnosis regarding the severity of the injury.

In Brazil, Corinthians has extended the contract of midfielder Zakaria Labyad until December 2027. The renewal comes as Labyad recovers from surgery following a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus injury sustained in July during a match against Athletico-PR. Labyad is expected to remain out for the remainder of the 2026 season.
