Moroccan Front announces week of protests against Israel normalization

The Moroccan Front to Support Palestine and Oppose Normalization has announced a national week of protests in Morocco, scheduled from October 7 to 11. The demonstrations are intended to support Palestinian resistance and mark the third anniversary of the October 7 events.

A central component of the mobilization includes a national protest in front of the Parliament in Rabat on October 7. The Front has organized various activities, including seminars and rallies, across multiple Moroccan cities.

The organization expressed strong criticism regarding Morocco's diplomatic engagement with Israel. Specifically, it condemned the presence of the Moroccan delegation during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly. It also opposed recent meetings of the Abraham Accords member states in New York, viewing them as part of an ongoing normalization process.

Additionally, the Front reported instances of suppression and restrictions on previous anti-normalization protests in cities such as M'diq, Tetouan, Tangier, and Agadir. It also highlighted the upcoming judicial proceedings on October 5 for 13 activists involved in anti-normalization efforts.
