Moroccan government launches e‑Himaya platform, reaches 45,000 users

The Moroccan government, represented by Minister‑Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Amal Saghroushni, announced the rollout of the national e‑Himaya platform (e‑himaya.gov.ma) aimed at protecting children from online risks. The platform, part of the “Digital Culture and Child Protection on the Internet” initiative, has registered roughly 45,000 users, offering guidance for children, parents and educators in Arabic and French.

A multi‑agency coordination committee – including the ministries of Justice, Education, Sports, Social Solidarity, the Digital Development Agency, the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Observatory for Child Rights and other public bodies – has organized awareness workshops across the kingdom. About 25,000 participants, such as students, teachers and civil‑society actors, attended the sessions, and around 20 instructional guides have been published to support safe digital practices and parental control tools.
