Moroccan musicians highlight musical heritage in upcoming concerts

Morocco's cultural scene features upcoming performances focused on traditional and classical musical heritage. Amal Guermazi, a conductor, violinist, and musicologist from Sorbonne University, will perform two concerts with the Mazzika Orchestra. The events are scheduled for October 22 in Rabat and October 23 in Casablanca. The program includes orchestral arrangements of works by iconic figures such as Oum Kalthoum, Fairouz, Warda, and Abdel Halim Hafez.

In Casablanca, singer Nacim Haddad is also performing at Megarama Casablanca. His work focuses on preserving Moroccan musical traditions, including malhoun and Andalusian influences, by introducing them to contemporary audiences through live performances.
