Moroccan officers conduct first Gaza scouting mission for future multinational force

Around 30 Moroccan military officers entered the Gaza Strip on July 22 for a first‑time scouting trip, assessing locations where a multinational stabilization force may be deployed after the war. The visit, reported by Israeli broadcaster KAN, was part of broader preparations that could see Morocco host training for the force, originally slated for Jordan but moved due to regional security concerns.

Israel has not yet given final approval for establishing a base for the multinational force in Gaza, linking any deployment to progress on disarming Hamas. The planned force could involve troops from several countries, including Morocco, Kosovo, Kazakhstan and Albania, and would eventually operate in areas under Israeli control before expanding its mandate.

The Moroccan delegation also consulted Israeli officials and visited command centers as part of its serious engagement with the post‑war security arrangements.
